Hi, I'm Nina, a painter, illustrator and surface designer based just outside of New York City, where I live with my husband and our two young daughters. I'm passionate about florals in all shapes and sizes and draw most of my inspiration from nature!   

A little backstory:

After working for textile design firms and freelancing as a textile designer, I started Ash & Anchor, a textile and home goods brand. My colorful, bohemian patterns adorned scarves, pillows, tea towels, serving trays, and more. Ash & Anchor products were found in boutiques across the globe and in West Elm, Modcloth, and Of A Kind.

A few years ago, I decided to close Ash & Anchor’s doors so that I could spend more time painting and designing (my most favorite part!) and less time sewing and shipping.  

Education:

I studied painting at the Rhode Island School of Design and illustration at Syracuse University, where I graduated with a BFA. I later earned my MFA from the Hoffberger School of Painting at the Maryland Institute College of Art.
